Tapestry Kits and Canvases

Most of the tapestries we have are either printed or trammed. (This means that instead of having the design painted on it, it is marked out in wool in horizontal rows.) The design is worked in the usual way over the rows. This gives more substance to the finished work and is particularly suitable for chair seats and stool tops.

We are stockists for Ivo, Beverley Needlepoint and stitchery trammed canvases.
Printed canvases are available on their own (Ideal if you have left over bits of wool) or as kits with wool included.

Craft Collection

The kits range from 5kpi (Worked in cross-stitch) up to the finer canvases. All are quality kits from well-known companies using Anchor, Appletons or Paterna wool. (All stocked here) All kits come with instructions and needle.

The following companies are among those who supply us, Animal Fayre, Anchor, Cleopatra’s Needle, Coleskill Collection, Craft Collection, Designers Forum (Beth Russell), Istitch, One Off, Peacock Tapestries and Stitchery.

Embroidery kits are supplied by Bothy Threads, The Crewel Work Company (Phillipa Turnbull) as well as anchor and DMC.

Fabrics

We sell high quality polished Canvas off the roll in antique or white, mono, double and interlock.

The cross-stitch fabrics are Aida, evenweave and linen, also cut off the roll, though some are packaged.

There is always an ‘off-cuts basket’ with smaller pieces priced from 50p upwards.
